New Refractive Technology – Visian ICL™

Nearsighted patients looking for a great surgical option for improved quality of vision can now consider the Implantable Collamer Lens® (Visian ICL™). The intra-ocular contact lens (IOL) is an implantable contact lens that works with the eye to correct vision. The lens is placed behind the iris, in front of the eye’s natural lens, where it provides excellent quality of vision with no maintenance. The Visian ICL™ does not alter any structures within the eye or the cornea and can be removed if needed. The procedure takes approximately 15 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis.
